I am really trying to be organized. It does happen every once in awhile. This time I want to keep all of my characters organized. I just added several more to my story and it seems important to keep everyone in order. I also want to streamline my naming process.

So…my naming process is particularly unique, but not something I created. Remember my original story came to me when I was reading about the world of DEMA by the band Twenty Øne Piløts. They named the bishops of DEMA by taking a string of letters from nine songs off of the Blurryface album. This is a really interesting naming system. Honestly, I could have chosen a novel, variety of songs, or poems to find names. I chose to use TØP songs, because I thought it was a fitting tribute to the band.

I’m using the Trench album and tearing apart each song, line by line, for names. I often come up with “words” that conform to the English language, but are unusable. Sometimes, I find gold. I keep a running list in Google Sheets to keep organized (read obsessive nerd). I made it through several songs, but it is tedious work. I tend to stop for awhile, and then go back when I have time and patience.
