I planned a week at the beach when I chose to visit family in Georgia. I needed to get away and have a “real” vacation within the trip back to my childhood home. I can be a guilt-ridden person, so if I get an opportunity to travel (not often), I always feel like I should go to Georgia where my family lives. This means I never go anywhere else. Tybee was a respite with my kids and Dad, all of whom needed the break too!

It just so happened that I realized TØP was playing in Jacksonville, Florida at the end of our time in Tybee. Thankfully, everyone agreed the additional 2.5 – 3 hour drive further south was worth it. I got seated tickets and the excitement of anticipation began.

The concert had AMAZING energy, which provided the boost I needed to spur more writing.

The “bois” seemed to really love playing in Jacksonville and the filled stadium was certainly a testament to the strong clique in the city. Dad and the kids enjoyed themselves, and I was in my happy place.
