Whirlwind Of Travel

We made it back to Dad’s house from Jacksonville. It was a long road, but worth the adventures. I had a brilliant idea that I would write while riding in the car with my Dad driving. Between traveling to and from Atlanta, Tybee, and Jacksonville, I would have many hours of focused writing time. I have no issue with car sickness, so I can read and craft as a passenger.

While my plan to write should have worked, I found myself so nervous that I could not look down for more than a minute or so, let alone focus on writing. I finally realized, I am the main (only) driver in my household, so it has been years since being a passenger for any length of time. High speeds on the interstate did not prove to make my lack of control any easier.

Thankfully, I have been able to write, but rest assured, it was not in the car. It is a shame really, all that wasted time. I suspect that shows the type of person I am. I feel the need to be busy at all times. Even when watching TV in the evening, I am usually crafting. Rest seems like an unknown word sometimes.
