Zhoosh = verb: To make more exciting, lively, or attractive.
I really love this word and use is when the proper occasion presents itself. What I have never done is write the word. I’m dyslexic, so I refuse to divulge how long it took me to find the correct spelling of this word. I will remind you that I earned a PhD, so I clearly demonstrated I can sufficiently write. I do have coping strategies for spelling crazy words, like speaking into the phone. Zhuzhing is apparently a word that sounds like any other word than itself. I got responses like judging, jean, dean, and several others that were just absurd.
The purpose of the word in question was to inform you on what I have been doing, which is zhuzhing up the blog. I have reworded, filled in spots that needed a bit more explanation, and ensured everything worked. This is one of the billions or so tasks on my list to get ready to query agents. I must ensure I have a platform, through which followers can learn about the book and perhaps the author too. Check mark!
I wanted to share the card I received today with everyone who reads this post. It is a pretty amazing thing to be thanked, especially when you are trying hard to make a difference. We don’t need thanks for everything, no matter what my southern upbringing taught me, but it can be a cherry on top of the sundae that encourages us to keep going on that difficult path (obstacle course, maybe). Thank you for visiting this blog…you are the best!
