I officially sent my first query letter to a literary agent. I chose one who was looking for young adult books and listed an interest in science fiction/fantasy. I’m still having a crisis of genre, but SF/F is under the same speculative fiction umbrella as dystopian. Either way, I have decided to go with this justification.

I am happy that I worried over the query letter and continued tinkering with the wording for so long. I think it turned out great. Of course, we will see.

In order to keep the momentum going, I will start researching another agent on the list and try to send query #2 today. Wish me luck and enjoy my picture of a gorgeous lily!
