New era – new look – continued storyline! I am so excited about the announcement of a new Twenty Øne Piløts album entitled Scaled And Icy. I have been incredibly worried that TØP would come out with new material, leaving the DEMA world behind. Instead, they seem to be stuck inside DEMA and are controlled by the Bishops.

Let’s take a minute and talk about the genius that is TØP marketing. In this time of Covid, an in-person concert is unimaginable, so they adapt and sell tickets to a live online performance. The ticket also gets you into an exclusive site filled with mysteries and content that is randomly updated. The money for the ticket FLEW out of my wallet! Did I mention they also dropped the first single with a music video. Oh yeah, that happened too.

With an influx of new imagery from the music video, exclusive website, and song lyrics, a renewed discussion of the DEMA lore has exploded. This has given me so many new ideas for book 2 and re-energized my writing. I have jotted down many new aspects to ponder and integrate into my next book.

One of my favorite nuggets of info the clever/innovative/fascinating people on the TØP Reddit discovered was an anagram. It turns out Scaled And Icy is an anagram for Clancy Is Dead! I truly appreciate the sharing of knowledge, because I would have never discovered this for myself.
