Edan is no longer within the walls of Illur. The council questions his friends, but none answer for where he is. There is only one who knows what happened to Edan, and he has shared this with no one. 

Vita awakes from a coma and is isolated in the name of recovery. Healing within the building of the sacred chamber, she finds there are many mysteries hidden away by the elders. Compelled to understand her community and the decisions being made, Vita seeks the knowledge restricted from everyone. She gets a glimpse into the collapse of the outside world and how Illur began. 

Well enough to be released back to her own space, Vita is missing a part of her life. Vita knows it is a risk to follow Edan into a world she is unprepared to face alone. Can she live a life without the person she has vowed to protect? With secret knowledge of the elders’ ignorance and cruelty, can Vita live the same life as before?
