What is a beta reader?
A beta reader reads a manuscript prior to publication. They provide feedback on a variety of elements to help the author improve the work. Beta readers are important to the publishing process, because their suggestions help shape the final version of a book.

How long do I get to read the book?
The author prefers feedback within 2 – 4 weeks of receiving the book. If you need longer, please contact the Cajah Reed.
Do I need to read the previous books in the series?
Yes. To give the best feedback, it is important to understand the whole story.
Will the author read my feedback?
Absolutely! Your feedback is invaluable to the author, so Cajah will definitely read it.
What happens after I read the book?
Within a week of receiving the book to beta read, we will send you a link to the survey.
What questions are in the survey?
There are 15 questions in the survey. A few examples of questions are:
Who was your favorite character and why?
Did anything surprise you?
Did this book remind you of any other book(s)?
Did you notice any discrepancies in time, places, characters, or details?
Am I automatically accepted, if I fill out the beta reader form?
The author cannot accept every application to be a beta reader. We will contact you whether you are chosen or not.
What if I don’t want to finish the book?
There is no obligation to finish the book. We ask that you let the author know if you would no longer like to be a beta reader.
